About Me

Lynna glasses. WebUse

My name is Lynna Goldhar Smith. Welcome to my not so secret online journal where I share my  stumbling fumbling and often very side-tracked journey through art and life. I named it after the famous line from Jack Kerouac’s Belief and Technique for Modern Prose.

I am a multi-disciplinary artist of mixed ancestry, honoured to be living and working in the vibrant Commercial Drive Neighbourhood of Vancouver–which is part of the traditional and unceded, territories of the Coast Salish People

I divide my creative life between my visual art practice and creating art on stage as in live theatre.

I am a graduate of Studio 58 in Vancouver and California Institute of the Arts but I am always in art school in a way– because life is my art school and the world around me a laboratory for discovering wonderful things.

Contact me at mslynna.g@gmail.com if you are interested in my paintings.

  1. I saw your play last summer and immediately felt as if I intimately knew the author, and the character Sally, even though we had not yet met. Awaiting the next phase of the triad. Best of luck with your writing.
