Lynna’s work is defined by a career built at the convergence of theatre and visual art. For many years, she maintained a dual practice, dividing her time equally between theatre production and painting.

This multi-disciplinary history allowed both modalities to inform one another; Working in theatre directly shaped her mastery of light, colour, and composition on canvas.

While her current focus is primarily on visual art, the influence of the stage remains central to her process. Her paintings—from lyrical abstracts to expressive figurative pieces—serve as a “visual exhale.” By translating the shifting terrain of memory and emotion into texture and form, she captures the deep, unseen elements of the visible world. Lynna paints to find the places that cannot be found on a map, offering viewers a constant source of contemplation and warmth.

Apart from my dedicated daily painting practice, showing my work in galleries and at open studio events such as the Eastside Culture Crawl and the First Saturday Open Studio events in Vancouver, I also coach artists to liberate their unique creative vision, deepen their creativity, and release the fear that holds them back.
